And the 30Amp esc was also too big for it's size.
After that I tried small 180 brushed motor with 20A brushed esc w/brake. it was perfect (still it's heavy😂).
The bridge and deck is made by 1.75mm pvc, torpedos are made of wooden pencil.
Small battery space takes a 2s 500mah lipo. 30mm 3blade propeller.

- RNinMunichAlmirante de la flotaExcellent video Sakibian, well done👍
and you're very brave to sail such a tiny boat in waters like that 😲
Hat off Sir 😉
Cheers, Doug 😎
BTW: you should put this boat in your 'Harbour', just click on 'Boat Harbour' on the left of the Home page and then 'Add your model boat' at the top.Le gusta a Sakibian
- BOATSHEDCapitánHi Biscuit, I have just watched your video's, nice to see more on the water. I see you have also posted pictures of the Graupner Rhode island F1 tunnel hull. I also have one of these and as yet have not got around to giving it a run. I do not live near any ponds locally where I can be sure I'm allowed to run my models. 16 miles for an electric isn't far I also have IC powered and the nearest for those is almost 40 miles. I get very disheartened with the hobby but still cannot get it out of my vein's. I curious to know where you have fitted wedges under you Rhode island. What's the chance of posting a few pictures of the under side of her to give me some idea as to how you have done this. it would be nice to see so that I could also give it a go so as to make her a little better on her maiden run. Many thanks in advance and kind regards.
- figtree7ntsAlmiranteHi, There!
I remember I had the Tug Neptune. Some 35 years ago.
She's a very nice boat. And very maneuverable!Le gusta a teejay
The original windows were cut from a sheet using templates provided and some did not fit as they were on the small side.i used some plastic sheet i had to make my own replacements.I also changed the prop coupling for a universal joint(i always do)
I prefer the less is more approach to some models.
- DennisRobothamSuboficial 1ª claseA very nice model and expertly constructed, well done that man. its always pleasing to see another boat on the water, long may our hobby continue.
- MouldBuilderAlmiranteWow. That model looks real. Either it is a model or very large ducks. Superb detail.😊Le gusta a RNinMunich
