I first heard that about 40 years ago in Dublin.
As it was 'suggested': to solve the traffic chaos in the centre by reversing the one way system, AND at the same time switching from driving on the left to driving on the right!!😮
"We'll staart with the buses and lorries at the weekend. If dat woiks we'll continue with the caars during the week!"
I was there on that weekend; they did reverse some of the one way system 😮 but thank 'someone' did not start driving on the right!

At least they can paint the empty lanes and then swap over to paint the rest.
I have heard that they are going to change the UK to left hand driving. They are going to move the trucks over first for a trial to see how it goes.
