Yes you can get plans from the RNLI at Poole. They will be for a particular boat so if it's not the boat you are modelling you cannot get the exact plans, most major details will be correct but all lifeboats seem to have personal preferences for some of the fittings. if you are considering a true scale model then as well as the plans I suggest you contact the coxswain at the lifeboat station where your chosen subject was based and see if they have any detailed pics that you can purchase. The Lifeboats Enthusiasts Socy attend several shows each year and they have photos of most classes of lifeboats that may help your build.

have you tried the R.N.L.I. plans dept at poole, they have the brede plans and all different other boat plans. I have had the livepool class, but they have all there boat plans even the new Shannon has been released I have read some where
