An observation from site usage.
Stephen the new photo posting capabilities are fantastic. Lightning quick. A glitch I just found is that edits to photo captions do not seem to process. Of course there always the possibility that I am doing something incorrectly.
Well I have to rescind my above observation. My edit of the text in the sixth photo DID process. It’s not instantaneous; takes several minutes but it does appear.
A second short edit of photo text registered immediately. Guess my first observation was in error.

Some photos from Woods Hole; my homeport

First, some fishing boats at the Town Dock adjacent to National Marine Fisheries Service. Almost all of the trawlers & draggers are from other ports. Other than a bit of lobstering there is no fishing industry in Woods Hole. The village of Woods Hole is home to five oceanographic research institutions & 1 devoted to climate research
A stern dragger.
A vintage wooden hull beam trawler.
Another stern trawler.
Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution’s ATLANTIS with the Human Occupied Vessel (HOV) ALVIN.ALVIN has a U.S. Navy certification for dives over 20,000ft allowing it to explore 98% of the world’s ocean depths.
